On this day 17 years ago, our ability to live free and pursue happiness was attacked, and our need to live united was reborn. The work completed at KAD today will be done with a pause in our hearts. A pause that reminds us of the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001, and in the days, years and wars which followed that day. Their sacrifice passed a baton that enabled our work and your work. May those souls live on eternally not only on the monument in this photograph, but also in the work we do and the lives we live in freedom. Truly, KAD will never, ever forget.
